DETAILS: This events is part of a series of Opening Day Events at The Falmouth Country Club. Join us for wine, food, camaraderie, and fun. This 4-course wine lunch features the food of FCC Chef Nick Verdisco and his culinary team and wines of some of the women winemakers joining us for this lunch and events throughout Portland Wine Week.

10 AM - 12 PM - Women in Wine Panel: Pushing the Boundaries
12 - 2 PM - Women Winemaker Luncheon
2 - 4 PM - Relax, Commute, Play, or Primp
Take the Maine Limousine shuttle back to Portland for one of the many events taking place or stay at the Falmouth Country Club to relax by the pool, take the golf cart for a drive and hit some golf balls on the beautiful driving range -- (golf pros will be on site to give pointers), play a game of tennis on the clay tennis courts, on the get a ready for the evening with a makeup artists for Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, and Clinique with local and national Makeup artists. **More to come on activities during this time.**
4 - 6 PM: Women Winemaker Happy Hour
On the putting green outside by the pond. Enjoy some incredible wines, mingle winemakers, meet new friends, enjoy the beautiful outdoors on the putting green of one of the top three golf courses in the State.
6:30 - 10 PM: Opening "Women in Wine" 5-Course 10-Wine Dinner
This dinner features 5 Outstanding Maine Chefs paired up with 10 Sommeliers (see below). Two Somms are paired with each Chef to present their best wine pairing with the dish to each guest. Two wines per dish, five courses. All wines feature women winemakers. One very beautiful long table will be set along the greens of the golf course (under the tent if inclement weather). All Somms will be pouring each others wines for the guests and working closely their partner-Chefs for a great pairing. Guests will vote for the best pairings - per course and overall. The TOP SOMM will go home with a trophy.
