It’s hard to imagine a more delicious way to spend a week in late autumn than in Piedmont, traveling through the rolling hills of the Langhe at the very moment when the region is at its most captivating. The vineyards glow in shades of gold and russet, the forests are alive with the scent of white truffles, and cellar doors open to showcase newly released Barolo and Barbaresco after several years of aging in barrels and bottles. Medieval villages, family-run wineries, and trattorias serving cucina piemontese anchor each day with a deep sense of history and place.
Your journey begins with an arrival night and welcome reception in Milan, allowing time to settle in after international travel before heading into Nebbiolo wine country the next morning. From there, days unfold at an equally thoughtful pace: private tastings at top Barolo and Barbaresco estates, leisurely lunches celebrating seasonal flavors, white-truffle experiences, and time to explore hilltop towns with sweeping views of the Langhe.
For those who wish to continue their journey, an optional extension to Lake Garda offers a beautiful change of scenery — where Alpine peaks, olive groves, and citrus gardens frame Italy’s largest and most majestic lake. It’s a serene and unforgettable way to end your time in northern Italy.
